The Altitude Card is a virtual business card your team uses to spend from a dedicated card account in your workspace. You issue cards to team members, set a spending limit on each one and track every transaction in one place.
Perks at a glance
Spending controls for admins, including per-card limits and the ability to freeze or terminate a card.
Issue multiple cards for different spending categories, vendors and employees
Cashback on qualifying spend, paid monthly. Cashback is a separate Altitude program. See How card cashback works.
Add a card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet to tap and pay. See Add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Set up cards
When your workspace first opens the Cards page, a Set up Cards checklist guides you through getting started. Finish the steps at your own pace — you can leave and come back, and nothing is lost.
Cards access: select Verify business to verify your business and get access to cards. Altitude submits your business's verification details to its card-issuing partner for review, and you may be asked for more information by email.
Terms of service: select Review to read and accept the consents required by the card issuer. This only takes a minute.
Card admins: select Add admin to choose who can issue and manage cards. At least one card admin is required before any card can be issued, and the assignment follows your workspace's approval settings. See Manage card admins.
Add funds to your cards account: select Deposit to transfer funds from another USD account in your workspace into your card account. See Add and withdraw card funds.
Issue your first card: select Issue card to create your first card. This becomes available once access, terms and a card admin are in place. See Issue a virtual card.
Cards are available to verified business entities.
Fees
Altitude charges no membership, monthly or issuance fees for cards, and there is no minimum deposit.
Purchases in a currency other than USD carry a foreign exchange fee of up to 1%, passed through from the card-issuing partner. USD purchases have no foreign exchange fee.
A third-party processing fee may apply if you dispute a transaction, regardless of the outcome. See Dispute a card transaction.
Card statuses
Each card shows a status on the Cards page. You can filter by status using the Status filter.
Active: the card is ready to use.
Frozen: spending is paused. Unfreeze the card to use it again.
Canceled: the card has been terminated and can no longer be used. Its transaction history stays available.
Pending setup: the card has been issued but still needs the cardholder's details before it can be used.
Pending approval: the card has been issued, but the card-issuing partner is still reviewing the cardholder. The card cannot be used or activated until the review is complete.
Roles
Admins issue and manage cards. Cardholders use the cards assigned to them. See Card roles and permissions.
Funding
Cards spend from a dedicated card account held in USDC. You move funds into it by proposing a deposit from one of your accounts, and move unused funds back by proposing a withdrawal. Both follow your workspace's approval settings. See Add and withdraw card funds.
Note: Altitude Card is virtual only. There is no physical card.
