Track card transactions

See every card purchase, filter transactions and check your balance

Written by Noah

Every card purchase appears on the card Transactions page, where you can filter, open a transaction for its full details and see how spend is settling.

Open card transactions

Go to Cards, then Transactions. Each row shows the merchant, the card it was paid with, the transaction date, the status, the account and the amount. Deposits to and withdrawals from the card account also appear here as Deposit and Withdraw rows.

If card proposals are waiting on you, a Pending Cards proposal banner appears at the top of the page with a Review button.

Transaction statuses

  • Pending: the purchase is authorized and held against your balance, but has not settled yet.

  • Completed: the purchase has settled.

  • Declined: the purchase was not approved, so the card was not charged. See Why was my card declined?.

  • Reversed: the authorization was released or returned, for example when a merchant does not complete the charge. The amount returns to your balance.

  • Refunded: the merchant returned funds for a settled purchase. The amount is credited back to your card account.

Filter transactions

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list by Date, Card, Cardholder or Status. You can also search by card name.

Open a transaction

Select any transaction to see its details:

  • The card used.

  • The local amount in the merchant's own currency, when it differs from USD.

  • The category and the merchant category code (MCC).

  • The date the purchase was authorized.

  • The date the purchase was posted, once it settles.

  • A reference for the transaction.

Note: Cards spend in USD. Purchases made in another currency carry a foreign exchange fee of up to 1%, passed through from the card-issuing partner. USD purchases have no foreign exchange fee.

Your card account balance

The top of the page shows your Total balance on the left and Spent this month on the right. Select the info icon next to Total balance to see the breakdown:

  • Available: what your cards can spend right now.

  • Processing: funds held by pending authorizations that have not settled yet.

  • Total: your full card account balance (Available plus Processing).

This is why your available balance can be lower than your total balance until pending transactions settle or reverse. See Add and withdraw card funds.
