Altitude's Settings is organized into six tabs: General, My account, Members, Security, Notifications, and Legal.
General
The General tab covers your workspace, company verification status, available features, and external accounts.
Workspace
Your workspace appears at the top with its icon, name, and creation date. Select Edit to change the workspace icon, name, or description. Icons accept PNG or JPG up to 500Kb.
Company details
Company details shows your verification status.
Status indicators:
Verified. Your details have been approved.
Rejected. Your details were not accepted and must be resubmitted. Check supported countries to confirm eligibility.
Underneath the status, two cards list what your workspace can do today.
Available features. Payment rails enabled for your account. The exact list depends on which rails your business has been approved for during KYB.
Pending features. Rails that are not yet enabled for your account. SWIFT payouts is an example.
External accounts
External accounts are destinations for sending funds out of Altitude. To add one, your Altitude account must first be verified. Once verified, connected external accounts can be selected as the destination when you transfer out.
If no external accounts are connected, the section shows an empty state with a prompt to add one.
My account
The My account tab holds your personal profile and display preferences.
Profile
Profile shows your name and email. Select Edit to update your first or last name. Your email is set at signup and cannot be changed here.
Appearance
Choose how Altitude renders on your device:
System. Matches your device's system settings.
Light. Uses a light background and interface.
Dark. Uses a dark background and interface.
Members
The Members tab lists everyone with access to your workspace, the permissions they hold, and when they were added. Use the Permission filter to narrow the list, or select Invite members to add someone new.
Permissions
Each member holds one or more permissions:
Propose. Creates new proposals, such as a payment or a settings change.
Approve. Votes on active proposals.
Submit. Executes a proposal once it reaches the approval threshold.
Read only. Views the workspace without taking any action.
The chips on a member's row show which permissions they hold. For more on member management, see Members.
Invite a member
Select Invite members in the top right.
Enter the new member's email address and select Send Invite.
Once they accept the invitation, you can assign their permissions.
Security
The Security tab is where you manage the approval threshold for your workspace.
Approval threshold
The approval threshold is the number of member approvals required before a proposal can be submitted. For example, an account with three members can set a threshold of 2/3. When a proposal is created (such as sending funds or updating a member's permissions), members with Approve must vote on it from the Approvals page. Once the threshold is met, the proposal moves to Ready and can be executed by any member with Submit.
Avoid insecure configurations
Single-approval thresholds (for example, 1/3) let any single member act unilaterally.
Maximum thresholds (for example, 3/3) risk permanent loss of access if a member loses their credentials.
Edit the approval threshold
Select Edit on the Approval threshold card.
Drag the slider to set the new threshold, then select Propose.
The change is created as a new proposal on the Approvals page and follows the normal vote-and-execute flow.
Note: Updating the approval threshold cancels all existing proposals with an Active or Ready status. This is by design, for security.
Notifications
The Notifications tab controls which emails Altitude sends you. Each notification toggles independently. The Outgoing transactions toggle acts as a parent for the three sub-options beneath it.
Available notifications:
Incoming deposits
Outgoing transactions
Transaction initiated
Transaction approved
Transaction executed
Member added or removed
Permissions changed
Rewards deposit
Rewards withdrawal
For a full list of every notification Altitude sends and who receives each one, see Notifications.
Legal
The Legal tab links to Altitude's published policies:
