Every card purchase needs a receipt. Email it to your company's receipt address, or upload it on the transaction – Altitude matches it to the right purchase.
Email a receipt
Take a photo of the receipt, or keep the PDF or email receipt.
Email it to your company's receipt address, such as [email protected]. Your card admin can share it.
Send it from the email address your card was issued to.
Card admins can email receipts for anyone in the workspace, from the address on their admin account. They don't need a card of their own.
To forward from another inbox, add that address as a workspace member and make it a card admin first. That gives it full card-admin access.
See Manage card admins.
Sent from an unknown address? It isn't dropped – we'll email the sender asking them to clarify or resend.
Upload a receipt
Go to Cards › Transactions and open the purchase.
Under Attachments, open the menu and select Upload receipt.
What you can send
Photos of paper receipts (JPG or PNG).
PDF attachments, such as invoices.
Receipts in the body of the email itself – a forwarded order confirmation or ride receipt works as it is.
You can send several receipts in one email, and each is processed separately. Send one receipt per transaction.
Attach files, not links. Links to files, such as Google Drive, aren't processed.
What happens next
Altitude matches the receipt by amount, merchant and date. If the total differs from the charge – a tip, tax or currency conversion – it works out the difference.
A clean match needs nothing more. Anything uncertain shows as Needs review for your card admin, who can approve it, reject it or ask you for a better copy.
If a receipt can't be matched
You'll receive a reply asking you to clarify or resend. Respond with a new file, or with a short written explanation – it's saved as a note on the receipt.
If a transaction is still missing its receipt, your card admin can send you a reminder email from Altitude. Forward the receipt when you get one.
