Batch payments

Approve, reject or send several payments at once

Written by Noah

Batch payments let you select several payments on the Payments page or in your Inbox and approve or send them in one go. Your approval threshold and member permissions still apply to every payment.

Approve several payments

  1. Select Payments in the sidebar, then open the Approvals tab.

  2. Select the payments you want to approve, or use the checkbox at the top to select them all.

  3. Select Approve in the bar at the bottom of the page.

  4. Review each payment, then confirm.

Each payment shows who created it, the account it's paid from, its memo and any invoice. Payments that reach your approval threshold move to the Ready tab.

Look out for flags. A note appears when you're paying a recipient for the first time, or when their payment details have changed since you last paid them.

To reject instead, select Reject in the same review and confirm. Your rejection is recorded on each payment and no money moves.

Send approved payments

  1. Select Payments in the sidebar, then open the Ready tab.

  2. Select the payments you want to send.

  3. Select Submit in the bar at the bottom of the page.

  4. Check the account and payment method for each one, then confirm.

Bank payments show when they're expected to arrive, and payments in another currency show the local amount.

Not enough balance? If the payments add up to more than an account holds, you can't submit them. Hover over the button to see which account is short, then top it up or select fewer payments.

You can do the same from the Payments tab in your Inbox. Select payments at the same step, either all waiting for approval or all ready to send.

Which payments you can select

  • You can select payments your permissions let you approve or submit

  • Payments you've already approved can't be selected again

  • Bills need reviewing before you can select them

Hold Shift to select a range. Your selection clears when you switch tabs.

If a payment doesn't go through

Each payment is processed on its own, so one failure doesn't stop the rest. Failed payments stay selected so you can try again, and you get the same emails as when you approve or send payments one at a time.

For how thresholds and voting work, see Approvals.
