Pay Colombian bank accounts in pesos from your USD account. Altitude converts the funds and sends them by Bre-B or Colombian bank transfer, and you see the rate and the exact amount the recipient gets before you send.

Send a COP payment
Select Pay from the dashboard.
Choose the recipient, or add a new one with Colombian peso as the currency.
Choose Bre-B if they've shared a Bre-B key, or CO Bank Transfer to pay their bank account. A bank transfer also needs their ID document and phone number, and both need their address.
Choose the USD account to pay from and enter the amount, in USD or COP.
Add a reference, invoice details or attachments if you need them, then select Create.
Approve the payment in your Inbox to send it.
Use a reference your recipient will recognise. COP payments are sent by our payment partner, not under your business name, so the reference is how the recipient knows the payment is from you. It can be up to 18 characters.
Exchange rate and fee
COP payments cost 0.6% above the mid-market rate, built into the rate shown and the same at any volume.
The recipient gets exactly the amount quoted.
The quote refreshes every 30 seconds. Once you send, the rate is fixed, even while the payment waits for approval.
The rate and fee are saved with the payment and appear on its confirmation PDF.
If a payment is returned, the funds convert back to USD at the rate on the day of the return.

Timing and limits
Bre-B runs 24/7. Payments usually arrive within 30 minutes. Bre-B payments over 11,552,000 COP go as a bank transfer instead.
Bank transfers go out on weekdays at 11:30, 14:00 and 16:30 Colombia time and usually arrive within 30 minutes of the batch.
Any compliance review adds to these times.
The minimum is 20,000 COP per transfer, with no maximum.
