The Customers page holds the billing details of the people and businesses you invoice. Each invoice is addressed to one customer, and their name, email, address and tax ID print on it.
Find it under Invoices → Customers. You need the Propose permission to add, edit or delete customers.
Add a customer
Go to Invoices → Customers and select Add customer.
Enter the Customer name. Altitude suggests matching companies as you type.
Enter the billing Email. Invoices are sent to this address.
Add a logo or tax ID if you want them on the invoice, then select Next.
Add the customer's address, then select Add customer.
Note: Selecting a company suggestion fills in the logo, email and address. Check them before you save.
You can also add a customer while creating an invoice: select Add customer on the Customer step.
View a customer
Select a customer's row to open Customer details. It shows:
Collected – total paid on their invoices.
Outstanding – total still open.
Last paid – date of their most recent payment.
Invoices – every invoice created for them.
Select New invoice in the panel, or Invoice on the row, to start an invoice for this customer.
Edit a customer
Select Edit on the customer's row.
Update the details or address.
Select Save changes.
Edits apply to future invoices. Invoices you have already created keep the details printed on them.
Delete a customer
Open the three-dot (•••) menu on the customer's row and select Delete.
Select Delete to confirm.
Important: Deleting cannot be undone. Existing invoices are kept, and the name becomes available again.
Customers are separate from Recipients, the people and businesses you pay. A company you both invoice and pay appears in both lists.
